The appellate proceedings in the inheritance dispute between LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo and his mother and two younger sisters are set to begin in earnest this September.

Following a comprehensive defeat at first instance, the three family members have substantially overhauled their legal team in an apparent bid to reverse the ruling. Notably, they have retained counsel previously involved in the high-profile divorce litigation of Roh So-young.

According to court schedules, the appeal proceedings are expected to commence in early September.
